Viewers capture 'mysterious trail of light' in the sky seen throughout Western PA

JOHNSTOWN, Pa (WJAC) — Meteor? Rocket? Aliens? Several residents in our 6 News viewing area captured images of a "mysterious trail of light" in the sky early Sunday morning.

Reports indicate that the object was seen throughout Western Pennsylvania, as well as other states.

Mark J. captured this image of the "trail of lights" along Nixon Road in State College while he was on his way to work.

Another viewer captured an image of the mysterious lights, around 6 a.m., while merging onto Interstate 99 from Route 22.

Reports indicate, however, that the "mysterious trail of light" was a result of a SpaceX satellite launch in Florida early Sunday morning.
