Teen charged with placing bomb threats to high school allegedly admits guilt

Myrtle Beach, S.C. (WPDE) — The Louisiana teen charged with making a bomb threat against a South Carolina high school last month allegedly admitted to placing the call, according to newly released documents.
Between April 23 and 24, Trenton Alexander Brown reportedly called both Carolina Forest High School and the Myrtle Beach Police Department "several times" across two days, "threatening to cause damage, injury or death to students."
The calls created chaos in the Horry County area and led to the evacuation of the school.
Brown, a 19-year-old from Baton Rouge, was booked into J. Reuben Long Detention Center Sunday night after being extradited to Horry County.
He is charged with making a bomb threat or conveying false information about a bomb threat.
According to the warrant, investigators obtained information from the phone calls that "linked the caller back to [Brown's] residence."
Officers from the Baton Rouge Police Department responded to Brown's home and during an interview with the officers Brown allegedly "admitted to placing the threatening call.Authorities added that evidence was also collected which corroborated the confession.
Six threats in total were made against Carolina Forest High School, all within days of each other. However, Brown is only charged with the first one that was initially reported on April 24.
