Suspicious death in Adams Township prompts multi-agency investigation

Officials have released more information surrounding the suspicious death in Adams Township Saturday morning.

According to the coroner's office, the victim has been identified as David Comar, 53, and that his death has been ruled a homicide.

Chief Deputy Coroner Joe Hribar stated that Comar died of multiple gunshot wounds.

Cambria County District Attorney Greg Neugebauer said this is the first homicide in Adams Township since 2007.

Officials say Comar's wife was injured and sustained a non-life threatening cut.

Authorities say the incident happened in a "quiet area on a dead end road" and that this was a "very targeted" attack.

Neugebauer said that there did not appear to be a struggle and that no firearm has been recovered.

Along with Adams Township police, which is the primary agency in the investigation, Richland Township police and Pennsylvania State Police also responded according to Adams Township Police Chief Kirk Moss.

Moss said federal officials with the Secret Service are also involved.

There is a reward up to $4,000 from Cambria County Crime Stoppers for information leading to an arrest and conviction. The crime stoppers can be reached at 1-800-548-7500.

New information has been released on the suspicious death that occurred in Adams Township Saturday morning.

According to the coroner's office, the deceased individual is being identified only as a 53-year-old male at this time.

The scene is still currently being inspected by police, Pennsylvania State Police, the District Attorney's office and the coroner's office.

More information is to be released after an autopsy Saturday.

Authorities in Cambria County said they are investigating a suspicious death near the town of Dunlo.

Multiple law enforcement agencies were called to a home on Poling Lane in Adams Township.

According to Chief Deputy Coroner Joe Hribar, a person is dead, and the cause is considered suspicious.

Law enforcement officials received the call at 4:02 Saturday morning, Hribar said.

State and Adams Township police are investigating.

Hribar said an autopsy is scheduled for later Saturday.
