The St. Francis men's and women's basketball team played a doubleheader at St. Francis Brooklyn.

Here's a recap from the men's game:

The Saint Francis men's basketball team (12-8, 5-4 NEC) dropped its third consecutive game on Saturday with an 86-79 loss at St. Francis Brooklyn (10-10, 4-4 NEC). Redshirt senior Isaiah Blackmon (Charlotte, N.C./West Charlotte) continued his torrid scoring pace with a game-high 24 points, while senior Keith Braxton (Glassboro, N.J./Delsea) and sophomore Myles Thompson (Camden, N.J./Camden) finished with 18 points.

Krimmel's Reaction

"We have to find a way to get stops," said head coach Rob Krimmel. "Over the last three games, we've gotten away from what brings us success, and that is team defense. We gave up 48 points today in the second half. You aren't going to be able to overcome that when you are playing on the road."

Here's a recap from the women's game:

Saint Francis women’s basketball (8-11, 6-2 NEC) used a well-balanced team effort to surge past St. Francis Brooklyn (5-13, 1-6 NEC) in a 67-59 win on Saturday at the Pope Center. Katie Dettwiller recorded a career-high 17 points and nine rebounds, while Jada Dapaa also scored a career-high 12 points.

With the score tied 48-48 with just under five minutes remaining, Jenna Mastellone connected on a three-pointer to give the Red Flash the lead. The shot sparked an 11-2 SFU run over the next three minutes that was capped off with another Mastellone trey to extend the margin to 62-52 with 1:57 to go. The Terriers pulled within five in the final 30 seconds, but wouldn’t get any closer as the Red Flash secured the victory.
